The Story Behind the Word
The Hebrew word בָּרוּךְ (Baruch) means blessed — but in the Hebrew sense, blessing is not merely good fortune. It is the active favour of God resting upon a person, a family, a home. To be Baruch is to be set apart for God's goodness. The word opens the great Jewish prayers: Baruch Atah Adonai — Blessed are You, Lord. This stone coaster brings that ancient declaration into your daily rhythm. Every time you set down your cup, you are reminded that you are not an accident — you are blessed, chosen, and held by the God who calls you by name.
