The Story Behind the Word
The Hebrew word אוֹר (Or) means light — and it is the very first thing God spoke into existence. Before the sun, before the stars, before any created thing could shine, God said: Let there be light. Or is not merely physical illumination; it is the presence of God breaking into darkness. Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures, light is associated with God's glory, His guidance, His salvation. The Psalmist declares: The LORD is my light and my salvation. Yeshua said: I am the light of the world. This stone coaster brings that first word of creation into your home — a reminder that wherever God speaks, darkness cannot remain.
